An Alexandria resident for more than 20 years, Mark and his wife, Micki, live in the Old & Historic section of the city. From the beginning, Mark has been active in the Old Town Civic Association as a board member, an officer, and finally as a 3-term president. He worked cooperatively with residents, businesses and the City to preserve the residential and historical character of not just Old Town, but all of Alexandria.
 
He has served on the City’s Budget and Fiscal Affairs Advisory Committee and other City boards and committees.
 
A practicing attorney for more than 30 years, Mark is known for his ability to analyze complex issues and to work cooperatively with people of opposing points of view to achieve innovative solutions that address the needs of all of the parties. He has the discipline and dedication to serve effectively as a member of the City Council.
